magfix® Magnetic Fixings

The pot magnets listed in the table are all anisotropic ferrite magnets encased in white powder-coated steel housings. The steel housing concentrates the magnetic field at the contact face, providing a secure fixing across a choice of diameters and pull-force levels.

These pots form the main part of the magfix hook-magnet range and can be fitted with hooks to create removable hanging points for signage, POS material and displays on suitable steel ceilings, grids and other ferrous surfaces. They are also used in shopfitting, visual planning, warehouses and general fastening applications.

Performance depends on the receiving steel, surface condition, coatings, contact area and direction of the load. A hanging load acting down a vertical surface will perform differently from a direct pull, so the complete fixing should be tested in its intended position.

magfix Magnetic Pads, or "Magpads", use ferrite magnets attached to a steel back plate and finished with a resin coating. The products listed in the table are all four-pole magnetic pads, available in different sizes, pull-force levels and fixing arrangements.

The current range includes options with an M6 central stud and foam pad, a wing nut and washer, or mounted holes. Magpads are primarily used for practical holding and mounting applications in factories, warehouses and beneath vehicle roof signs. Bespoke sizes and fixing arrangements may also be available for application-specific requirements.

Where mounting space is limited, a compact magnetic neodymium pad may be more suitable.

magfix magnetic neodymium pads, or "Neopads", combine rubber-encased neodymium magnets with a zinc-finished steel plate to provide strong magnetic performance in a compact pad. The products listed in the table use four-pole or eight-pole magnetisation and are available in different sizes, pull-force levels and fixing arrangements.

The current range includes options with hooks, M6 studs and nuts, clinch studs or a central fixing hole. Neopads were developed for securing and suspending POS material, signage and display media from suitable steel or ferrous surfaces, particularly where a discreet fixing or resistance to sliding is required. Custom pads and fixing arrangements can also be produced for application-specific requirements.

magfix marker magnets contain ferrite magnets within coloured plastic casings. The products listed in the table are round, flat-topped office magnets available in a choice of diameters, colours and magnetic strengths.

They can be easily positioned, removed and rearranged, making them suitable for holding notices, plans and other lightweight materials on magnetic whiteboards, noticeboards and planning charts. Common applications include offices, schools, homes, workshops and sports coaching boards.

The appropriate size will depend on the material being held and the receiving surface. Larger marker magnets generally provide greater holding strength, while the different colours can be used to organise information, identify categories or highlight priorities. Performance may be reduced by thick paper, laminated materials, coatings or gaps between the magnet and the board.
